"To move through the world recognizing, using, and tending the plants around you
is to be in relationship with your home; to find yourself always amongst friends."
Backyard Wildcraft was born out of my desire to support and empower anyone and everyone in the Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion to engage with their botanical landscape.
To wildcraft is to gather and use what is freely growing, versus what is cultivated.
To wildcraft is to embrace the generosity of our earth. Harvesting and utilizing with care can be a form of loving and tending.
You don't need a special degree to wildcraft; you only need to come to the plants with respect and care. Your ancestors knew and used the plants around them and so can you.
